ABOUT XING ZHAO
Xing Zhao is a Shanghai-based writer, editor, translator and content creator. He has written about contemporary art, culture, design, fashion, LGBTQ and travel for publications including CNN, Time Out Shanghai, OutThere Magazine, City Weekend, Zing, Numero and Men’s Uno. He is a frequent contributor to Architectural Digest and The Art Newspaper. He’s the writer of WeWork (China)’s magazine Community (download it here) and Starbucks’ first Chinese language print magazine The Bean Tales (download: Autumn 2020 issue and Spring 2021 issue).
He has worked with brands, art galleries, museums, auction houses, cultural organizations and creative agencies, developed branding content strategies and created editorial contents for clients including Louis Vuitton, WeWork, Phillips Auctioneers, Starbucks, Edition Hotels, Hong Kong University, the British Council, Nestlé, Esther Schipper, the Future Laboratory and more.
He writes in both English and Chinese.
Xing holds a masters degree in Cultural Studies from the University of Edinburgh.
